On this tour you will visit the lagoon where the famous “El Dorado” legend was originated.

The lagoon was discovered in 1537 by the spaniard Gonzalo Jiménez de Quesada, and it was considered to be sacred by the indigenous Muisca tribe. I was used for the offering ceremony by the leader of the tribe, and that’s why the legend of “Eldorado” tells that many golden trasures are hidden there.
In the past, several treasure hunters tried to drain the lagoon in their desperate search of gold.
There you will also enjoy the beautiful scenery of the lagoon and it’s surroundings.
At the end of the tour you will be dropped off at your hotel or at a convenient place within the urban area.
